Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Set Senior Appointments

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, parent company of The Peninsula Hotels, has announced senior management changes. Rainy Chan will be promoted to be area vice president, Hong Kong and Thailand, while retaining her role as general manager, The Peninsula Hong Kong. Nicolas Beliard, currently resident manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong, will be promoted to be general manager of The Peninsula Bangkok. Both promotions are effective on May 1, 2010. Beliard is replacing Charles Morris, who will be leaving his post at the end of April. Chan joined HSH in 1994 and was appointed general manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong in April 2007. In her new capacity, Chan will, in addition to her continuing role as general manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong, oversee the operation of The Peninsula Bangkok.
